Traction

Traction gently decompresses your spine, relieving pressure, especially for disc problems and nerve pain.

How it works

A slow, steady stretch opens the space between the vertebrae. That takes pressure off a bulging disc and the nerve it is pressing on. Along with traction we use neuromuscular re-education: exercises that teach the muscles to support the spine again.

Often used for

  • Disc bulges and herniations
  • Pinched nerves
  • Sciatica
  • Neck pain with arm pain or tingling
